Got an east facing set (in the UK) and west facing set (2 independent sets) and a battery. West set from Eon, and trouble free, east set from FDG group and problematic. East facing set do not always activate in the morning. Take today 5th Oct at 9am. It is cloudy but light and the sky is a homogeneous grey. In situations like this both east and west panels show a very similar amount of output when working properly, but since mid August, as now, the east panels are not showing anything whilst the west facing are currently about 450W. The east facing ones will eventually activate, but this seems random. (They kicked in at 11.30am straight to 1100W). The west facing ones give a linear power delivery as expected, proportional to the amount of light. I’m missing out on vital early morning power to charge my battery, run appliances etc. The company who fitted them keep saying it’s shading/ lack of light/ orientation, which sounds like fobbing me off, but why would my west panels show output in the morning and the east ones, none, when in early morning sun?!. This is a relatively new issue. Is there something causing resistance to the panels kicking in? I first noticed this problem in August on a really sunny day (strong sun from 6am) when the east panels registered just 2/3 W, then just kicked in about 11am without warning. All very strange but feel it’s a rooftop problem rather than an inside the garage problem. Hope you can help, many thanks,
