So originally I was going to do a top of pole mount (four poles, 6 panels each) but after talking with my HOA they denied it on grounds of it being "visible from another lot" which I'm pretty sure is not legal in Texas given it's solar access laws. They also insist that it is below my 6 foot wrought iron fence. (which I'm assuming is to keep it from being visible, but its a iron fence that you can see through) To help mask the panels from view, I figured I could try using EcoFoot2+ mounts, they are intended for flat roof installs, but should be fine on a ground mount setup and easier to hide. They also have the additional benefit of not needing to dig and pour concrete
So after talking with the city, they think I have everything in order, but want PE stamped designs for both electrical and structural as they normally get for their roof installs. I've spoke with renvu solar and they referred me to http://solarpermitservices.com, it seems most places that offer to do the permitting documents for you also offer to get PE stamps for an undisclosed additional fee, which I'm still not sure how expensive it will end up being or if they will not like using a flat roof mount on ground.
Anyone have any other suggestions on where to get PE stamps in/for Texas?
In terms of equipment I have already purchased the following:
-24 LG355S2W-A5 PV Panels
-24 IQ7Plus micro-inverters
-Enphase Q cables (landscape 72 cell), terminators, aggregator, combiner box
-60 amp AC disconnect
-PV label stickers
Waiting on getting the permit before buying any mounts, and I plan to get an electrician to do the final connection and help out with what he can
Edit: Noticed another post that mentions Yoursolarplans.com, so I'll try them too
