I just meant that Mike, Sunking and I don't really have an idea of your local problems.
John mentioned that customs duties are highly variable - not something that we would be aware of - things like that.

[QUOTE=gizmoramos;25046]may i know what loads do you have running on that 900W solar system? and how many hours?
I really havent timed my usage. Just when the battery is about full, I use the excess energy on the heavy appliances.Comment

wow thats a pretty big load ahaha.. hm well in my situation. I have to use these things simultaneosly. well except with the TV part ahahah.. i just added that one for leisure. but overall, i want them all to work simultaneously, you think my computations of the set up will cope with the my power consumption?Comment
-
Unless you provide us with your monthly kwh consumption or at least the actual ratings of the appliances,it is hard to say. In my estimate, 2.2kw of panel wattage is more than what u need.Comment
-
yes i am quite aware that import, tarrif, taxes here are very big. but i have been searching of ways to minimize the taxes. and we do have certain benefits for those ahahah..Comment

actual ratings? meaning? not in estimates right? hm. like for example a light bulb of 40W being lit for 5hrs? is that is? or the real actual like 39.8W in 4hrs and 57mins? ahaah. sorry im sooo confused with this electricity computations. Im no engineer, but I am an entrepreneur. and i want to make thing clear for me to fully absorb and share ahahhaComment

Wrong, batteries have to be replaced about every 5 years if you give them TLC. It is very simple if you are connected to the grid right now, your electric bill will tell you how much electricity you use. You need to look over 12 months and come up with a monthly average. Until you do that there is not much anyone can do for you.MSEE, PEComment

yup replacing batteries every 3-5 yrs is the only maintenance that will really be costly, unlike generators, with the cost of gasoline nowadays, and a weekly maintenance. wasting money on gasoline+maintenance.
I believe my previous electricity bill was about P7,000 (about $170/month) and almost every month we pay that much.Comment

and we have different power ratings. so its not $170 I think.. the last time i've been in the states, I dont mind the electricity bill so im clueless with the ratings there ahahah.
I'll check tom the kw per day? or per month. I'll check it out on our billsComment

Lighting: working for 7hrs
4 light bulbs (20W each)
Computer Set: working for 15hrs
1 LCD monitor (12V 5A) - 60W
1 CPU power supply (220V 3A) - and it says there 500W
1 TV (180W) 5hrs
2 Electric Fan (50W) 15hrs
I believe my previous electricity bill was about P7,000 (about $170/month) and almost every month we pay that much.
With that amount, you probably didnt include in the list many other energy eaters. You probably have at least one Air conditioner.Comment

yup i didnt include others such as fridge, sound systems, other lights, and other energy monsters at our shop. so I am planning for these appliances indicated in my 1st thread, that they will be 100% off-grid. since they are running on almost the whole day ahahhComment

Sure hope you like paying 10 times more for electricity the rest of your life and building an addition to your shop to hold all those batteries. You have no idea of what you are asking for and in for a huge shock.MSEE, PEComment
