    ok, the base load example makes sense, I certainly am considering it now. I gotta say though I dont understand why my amprobe would read 3.14amps, never mind the eyedro, on my main feeds with the only thing turned on is the pv system, at night.

    you have a base load in your house. Everyone does. Wall chargers consume, TV boxes, alarm clocks, refrigerator, etc.
    Some people have gone to (extraordinary ) lengths to get their base load down. but you have some base load. 6.5 hours and 3kWh is 462wh (0.462kWh) per hour or 462w . Mine is right around 400w

    It isn't your solar panels or enphase inverters it is all the little things in your home and some big ones here and there.

    Your eyedro has no way of knowing what you used or actuall consumption. For that it would need two sets of CTs on on the Net side and one on the inverter side, and it would have to understand negative numbers. It doesn't.

    Again your measurement method is not accurate. you are only measuring one leg to neutral each. The meter is measuring leg to leg

    The enphase monitoring is saying that it produced 6.36kWh and that would include any self consumption of the inverters.

    The "customer" referred to in that manual means the POCO, not you.

    i started with 675kwh... my eyedro says i used 7kwh... my panels produced 6kwh... the mystery wattage equals 4kwh... 675 + 7 = 682... 682 - 6 = 676... 676 - 4 = 672kwh which is what the meter socket says. The eyedro is reading this .684 kwh the pv system draws constantly. I double checked this using my Ideal amprobe seeing 3.14 amps being drawn... This .684kwh is not being recognized by the meter socket, even though it is there always. day or night.

    Your utility meter only shows NET and by delivered they mean you purchased from them.
    so this morning it read 675kWh and latter read 672kWh so you had a NET reduction of 3kWh
    Your enphase system shows you generated 6.36kWh. This means that your house consumed 3.36kWh before it could be sent to the grid.
    ( this comes from the 6.36kWh generated plus negative 3kWh NET = consumption)

    your eyedro is reading a gain in consumption of 7.33kWh because it is not very accurate, doesn't account for direction, Voltage changes, etc.
    It should be reading negative 3kWh but it doesn't do direction so no negative values, everything is additive so worthless in your use case.


    I don't know where you came up with "682 kwh delivered"

    Your confusion seems to be in putting way too much stock in that eyedro.

    ... now the "mystery wattage from panels" according to my eyedro consumes a solid .684 kwh... multiply that by the 6.5 hours i was gone and you get 4.446, the favorable 4kwh difference! it appears to me that my eyedro is functioning accurately, my meter socket is responding to the solar production and that this mystery wattage is not being considered delivered or charged... to further solidify this finding I am going to land the eyedro clamps on the pv taps overnight... I will see on my eyedro the .684 kwh draw from pv system constant. I will record the kwh number on my meter socket at night. compare in the morning to what the pv system drew for wattage overnight. Which after 8 hours is 5.472 kwh... if my meter socket reading does not go up according to what the eyedro shows the pv system drawing I will feel certain at that point I am not being charged for this .684 kwh draw.... Im still curious why its there though!

    Almost all meters that I am familiar with will give an indication of how fast or slow consumption is occurring. Spinning dial, moving bars, speed of flashing numbers, etc.......
    Find the make and model from the front of the meter.

    I just spoke with national grid. My meter runs forward or backwards. So if the pv system is producing more than i consume the kwh number displayed will count backwards
