APS Microinverters, WA State DIY project.

    Hello everyone,

This is actually my first post and I have some questions for folks who use the APS microinverters. I live in western Washington so I am trying to acquire WA made inverters and panels for the production incentive. The array size will be 4kw. I will be doing the mounting/installation myself except for the grid-tie electrical work.

I am debating between the APS YC500i vs YC500a for 290W HE Itek panels. Seems like the 500i model is the way to go because of the price alone. Does anyone with 280/290 watt panels experience any clipping with the 500a during summer periods? I think in WA, the summer production is like 50% of total annual production.

Also, has anyone had problems buying from Webosolar.com?

Any feedback would be appreciated, thank you.
