Help me read my true up report..

System installed late December, link shows what my current true up statement is like but I'm not quite getting the statement

for Jan and Feb, my charges is zero then to the positive then to the negatives, the negative I assume my over production vs usage?

Nem before tax is -170
Min delivery charge - 78.22
YTD true up is = 0.00

why doesn't that add up?

Most POCO net metering agreements do not allow you to take any cash credit for a net overproduction for the year. Instead your credit is reset to zero at each true-up.
If you had a net consumption they would bill you for that consumption and then set your running debit balance to zero.
If you are very fortunate a POCO might actually pay or credit you for the wholesale price of your surplus kWHs.

So what you're saying is most POCO policy is "use it or loose it"?

I think PGE actually pays wholesale price for the extras but I'm actually more concern if I'll have enough to cover cause I planned the system to provide 100% coverage.

Your TrueUp is not done until your anniversary, so the est. true up amt is PGEs guess on what it'll be after 12 months on anniv.
Your Jan few charges were not zero, only the category for Peak Usage. That was Zero for the first few months because pge does not charge Peak rates during winter, Only summer months. You have negative Peak numbers because you are generating more power during the day than you are using. This you are Net selling your peak hours (Aka negative charges, aka credit).

I started in Dec also and my bill looks similar to yours. You probably won't have to owe pge anything at TrueUp, but that depends on a lot of factors, some in your control and others, not so much.

If you want to keep it simple, just keep watching that bottom right corner number in the first table... -179.77.

If it goes positive before dec you will owe. If it stays negative you will owe nothing, but probably lose the credit.... Don't be fooled into thinking if you have a credit in that box you will get that paid in cash, you won't.

The only folks who get a small kWh reimbursement for excess energy are those that have a total kWh generated that exceeds the total kWh used for the true up period. That can be found in the Net Usage (kWh) column of the table, the 114 number, it will we old be negative if you deserve a credit. The credit for excess genration has nothing to do with that -179 number which is a Value $ number of the kWh you generated, not a measurement of energy generated.

Those are great info, another reason I should get an EV in the garage ASAP. I gotta sure I squeeze every KW out of the PV

You are doing well with earning high value Peak kWh and spending cheap off peak kWh. Having an EV can burn up a lot of off peak energy, with more bang for your PV buck, which in your case you'd probably lose anyway. Whether the investment in EV is worth it or not is another set of calculations and assumptions.
