I have begun fielding quotes and appears my roof wont be big enough for a 10k system. The quotes im getting appear to fit 20-25 panels on my roof. The popular panel appears to be the LG which produces 315w. One quote is stating $3.50/watt. I have another for Silfab Solar panels that produce 346 watts @ $3.90/watt.
Im not sure how fair these prices are, and if I should look into other panels? Any guidance is very much appreciated.
i think those 345w silfab panels are actually bigger, less efficient, and more expensive. So don't do that.Comment

Solarnoob, seriously before getting panels, support grid-tie solar by purchasing solar and wind power from an electric source providers, then get a power use audit done! Dude, you consume way too much, (turn off that damn light already ) conservation will make you more money, then you can by throwing it all on 'solar salvation'! Though solar is so dam cheap right now, at least panel wize.... Then you can start thinking actaul panel ownership...Comment

OP Said: have allready made the switch to all led bulbs and had the Mass Save Audit done. We also just replaced our drier with a new(er) energy star. Our water heater is new as well but the Mass Save guy said it wasnt very efficient. So we will be looking to replace that as well.Comment
