    RV Grid tie system

I have a 2kw off-grid system on my fifth wheel. I was thinking about pulling the panels off and putting them on my home as I hardly go bush whacking in the RV anymore.

Then I got to thinking, what if I can get a different inverter and have a portable grid tie system? Have the fifth wheel and solar system "plugged in" and supplying power to my home

Can this be done? Has anyone done this?

My current System is as follows:

My current system is as follows:
    6x 250 watt 30v solar panels
    5x 150 watt 12v solar panels
2x Xantrex XW MPPT 60 150 solar controllers (each running off of 3 250watt panels)
1x Morningstar TS-60 solar controller (running off 5 150watt panels)
1x Xantrex Freedom SW 3012 inverter
    6x L16 AGM Batteries (12v 1170aH)

Most places in the US will require your grid-tie system to be permitted by your local authority, and a new interconnect agreement signed with the power company to get credit for anything you feed back into the grid. Neither of those will happen with a portable system... it needs to be hardwired in to be code compliant.

Agree code and Insurance carrier is going to require a permanent structure. They get nervous about driving away and ripping electric wiring from poles and house. Go figure.

As for what you have the 250 watt panels could be used. As for the rest not usable.
