My last 12 months have been about 28 megawatt hours. House is about 15,240 square feet if you also include the pool house. That is with us using air-conditioning sparingly (mostly having it off, but when it is on, it is on 77 degrees, and only in a few rooms). My goal is to be able to just leave the AC on 75. Though I have already failed at that, because my wife keeps on shutting it off.

Also I may have a Tesla in about two years. If so, that will use about 3.5 megawatts per year.

So I would like to have about 32 megawatts per year.

I used PV-Watts for each string, and guesstimated shade for each string, and I think this will produce 26 megawatt-hours the first year. So it is really not big enough.

Yeah, with a house that size you can get energy usage like that. I use about 13 MW hours in a 2,220 square foot house. Of course, we keep our AC on much lower than that in the summer.

Here in New Jersey they don't let you install more than 100% of your last 12 months usage, though perhaps they may make exceptions for future use. Not sure.

It is a lead gen site so I was not able to get permission from CEO to pay for it. But it seems that I can create as much as I did without paying.
We are getting a lot of press now for the Etsy deal though.
