Inverter - inside or outside of garage?

I have a SolarEdge 7600 mounted in my garage. I have never noticed any noise, or even temperature. It just seems whatever temperature the garage is. But now that everyone is mentioning noise and temperature, I will probably run home tonight and check mine ... But would not matter, I want mine in the garage for protection from the elements, and prying fingers. Too much programming etc. can be done from that panel. I need it secured !!!
