yeah, it does sound like they don't/can't push pricing data for EVA. sucks. wattvision does not know about TOU plans either so not easy to see how much my demand costs at any given time.Comment

At least this time of year ( PG&E Winter TOU rates Nov-Apr ) the wattvision pricing model is pretty close to actual because
there are only two rates and those prices are not far apart.Comment

i think EVa has 3 rates though, at least on weekdays. for now i've just programmed the weighted average price in. not a huge big deal but it would be nice to get it right.Comment

i was under the impression that i couldn't use PVOutputs because it's a sunpower system and they have no public API... is that incorrect?Comment

so, the eagle tech support people got back to me - they say the official word from PGE is that if you have the NEMS add-on to EV* (or i suppose any plan) then you are ineligible for a pricing schedule to be loaded into the meter. a little silly since as far as i can figure there's no technical reason why it can't be done.Comment

OK! everything is all straightened out - they canceled the E1 bill and issued a new one where E1 ends on 22 nov and from that point on it's EVA-NEM. that cut what i owed for electricity (immediately) in half, and for the remainder of the period i have a $65 NEM charge.
as an aside i was astounded to finally notice that natural gas currently costs about the equivalent of 6c/kwh. aside from the problem of CO2, i should have installed a gas turbine instead of solarComment
