Stainless steel, natural gas powered solar inverters are all the rage in So Cal these days. I thought everyone knew that. And I must add, hamburgers and grilling are not limited to summertime only, today is November 20 and it's 87* right now.

Nothing, it's just a box with miscellaneous parts and hardware.

Day 3 is now complete and things are going well and the panels should be installed tomorrow. However, I walked the roof this afternoon after the installers left and found a few broken tiles that need to be replaced first so I marked them with paint. It appears that they were just going to leave them as they were as some of the cracks had been caulked. Per the contract language I insisted on, "all broken roof tiles are to be replaced, not repaired". They also have the Optimizers installed but with a threat of rain tonight I'm concerned they are premature in doing so.

The optimizers don't mind getting wet... But connectors should be clicked together or otherwise kept dry if they can't be.

Day 4 is now complete. The SolarEdge inverter was mounted and the conduit run through the attic is in place. The broken roof tiles I noted yesterday were replaced today as were a few others they noticed on part of the roof not receiving any work. I've got nothing but good things to say about this company as I'm very pleased with their work. With a 4 day weekend for the installers nothing more will take place until next Monday when the panels are installed. If all continues to go well, they should be complete and signed off by the city no later than next Wednesday.

After a 4 day Thanksgiving weekend my installers are back at it this week. Panels are up, conduit is finished and wire is currently being pulled. If all goes well today, we might get a final inspection sign off tomorrow. Hopefully the pics posted work ok as I can only link them and not go through Photobucket like I did with the others above due to the new forum layout.

And the installation is 100% complete, making power, or will be when the sun comes up again, and signed off by the building inspector (minus the PTO from SCE). Hopefully, SCE will be timely in doing whatever it is they need to do next.

SCE finally issued the PTO this morning after a long week wait. Just need to get the SolarEdge monitoring up and running now. It's live but I've got sketchy wifi signal issues.
