Remember one thing. Even you give them money for the installation, you will need to wait for 4-5 months.
if there is an issue in your system, GOOD LUCK for a long wait time .... What do you think about priority ? New installation to get thousand of profit vs fix the existing installation with zero profit.Comment

A couple other San Diego installers that have been used by forum members can be found here. The prices included in the new NEM Interconnect List may help you find other installers willing to quote at your target price.
Getting a system installed before the end of the year at this point will be a stretch. Good luck.CS6P-260P/SE3000 - http://tiny.cc/ed5ozxComment

It is a lie for those
Now it starts Nov unless installer guaranty of installation by the end of November, there is NO YEAR END RUSH.
Second, NEM 1.0 can last at least 10 months based on current rate of installation. It is NO NEM GO AWAY at this point.
All you pay extra for those are "TIP".In SF bayarea, if you willing to wait for 4-5 months, you will pay around $2.8/watt. That is what I was quote.

I once had an engineering boss who had a slightly different take on uninformed, bombastic-like opinion: "Opinions are like noses: Everyone has one, most of them smell, and some of those belonging to the ignorant are downright ugly". I remember adding, at the time, that while all that may be true, at least some of them get blown once in a while. I got a wry look of distain back on that one, and some muttering about how that could also describe the engineering capabilities of some employees, particularly new ones.
Maybe some of that applies here.Comment

This is just heresay, but I recall reading a post here about an owner registering the inverter themselves, beat the installer to the registration, and thus had full control of the monitoring.Comment
