East facing panels make slight popping sound in the morning

Just noticed that the east facing panels make slight popping sound in the morning. I was in the room right underneath the east facing panels in the morning. When the sun shines on the panels, I was able to hear the popping sound.

    Is this normal?

Normal from my experience. It's likely the mounting framework because it expands and contracts as it heats and cools. No different than when you turn off your hot car end the end of a trip and hear the exhaust creaking here or there as it cools in the garage. My house is old and it pops here or there each morning as it warms up and each night as it cools down. I also hear my solar panels sometimes.
