I understand there should be no additional electric cost. I just wanted to compare what you would have spent purchasing that 102724kWh over the 20 years to what you will be paying for the lease.
If it costs you only $5000 for the lease and it is supposed to generate 102724kWh then you are technically paying ($5000 / 102724 kWh = $0.049/kWh) for 20 years which is pretty cheap.
I hope all goes well with your install.

There is no further per kwh cost (or any other cost) after initial prepaid lease.
Based on my current bill (in $80's) and new EV I got, I will be positive in about 4 years.Leave a comment:

Sounds like a great price and clean installation.
What was the estimated kWh output of that system over the 20 lease and what would be an average $/kWh for your home?Leave a comment:

3.57KW coming up in SF Bay area
Prepaid 20 year lease - $6000 ( minus $1000 referral credits). No rebate since it is prepaid lease.
Capacity - 3.57kw (2 strings)
Inverter - ABB 3.8kw
Panels - 14 X Trina Solar 255W
Roof Pitch - 19°
Roof Azimuth - 165°
Annual Shading - 96%
Net out of pocket - $5000 for 3.57kw system. (comes out to $1.40/w)
My house is 100% LED, no air conditioner. Switching to E6 PGE plan (currently on E1). I am assuming I will be left with credits (which PGE will swallow) once system goes live. Maybe I will install air conditioner later.
Today got everything except panels installed. Hopefully city inspector shows up tomorrow and I can get panels up too.
