Something else to keep in mind... All other factors being equal, it's not fair to compare $/Watt for different sized systems. If your system was, say, 9.69kW instead of 4.69kW, the system price per watt would (should) be lower, since the fixed costs of engineering, permits, etc. are spread out over a greater production capacity.
But I agree, that price is high even considering northeast labor.
