Good point. That tilts us a little further towards 'weak panel', maybe. But I'd still watch and wait.

I think the thread has run its course. I know it was very illuminating for me.

If I had an optimizer system and a panel with that variation, I would just keep an eye on it
for additional degradation. To be sure it wasn't a bad measurement, I'd compare the operating
voltage and current of an adjacent panel with a real voltmeter and clamp on ammeter.

However I have strings of 12 panels. That level of variation would be enough to throw off
the efficiency of a string. This is easily enough detected by unbalanced voltages on some
of the panels. Ideally all the weakest panels would be in the same string, all the strongest
panels would be in the same string. After changing out 3% of my mixed bag of panels, the
balance was good enough to be declared "done". Bruce Roe
