Things to watch out for during solar install?

I just went back and looked at the pictures from my installation. Yeah, I see why you would question it. If the panels absolutely have to be on that horizontal line, or if the shingles aren't square to the line of the panels, it might be unavoidable.

I wonder if I should request a particular type of footing/flashing as I suspect the installer is likely to use the cheapest kind. Any recommendations?
