Perhaps a little late to the thread, but maybe someone reading today might find helpful as an update:

I started down the path with Sungevity around 4/1/2015. They offered a 9KW system (36 Hyuandai panels, Solar Edge inverter) at $32K with a 25 year warranty. Their estimated go-live date was July 1.

The system was installed first week of June by Skyline Solar. They did a good job overall, but they didn't completely knock my socks off. My roof faces east-west, so their original plan had been 30 panels west-facing, with 6 panels east facing. In the end, they put all panels west-facing, so I get very little output before 11am when the sun comes over the roof peak. But I do get daily output totals greater than what was promised, averaging 41KWh per day for July. The approvals, utility sign off, etc. took a few weeks and I went live on 6/27, so they met their go-live date as promised.

They did also mess up the LOCUS installation, and put in the wrong MAC so I wasn't getting any performance data the first 2 weeks and it took MANY calls to Sungevity to get the issue corrected. On that note, the mobile app and browser reporting by Sungevity are not stellar. Not the worst interfaces I've ever seen, but not terrific either.
