Anyone with a decra tile metal roof?

Just wanted to see if someone has experience with installing the solar on the Decra metal roof.

At the time I had the roof installed, it was supposedly the best option out there as far as weight/insulation properties etc.
Now, I am finding out that most if not all PV installers have a somewhat puzzled look on their face when come to see the installation project.

I also had a layer of reflective insulation installed between the skip sheeting and the roof surface for extra insulation that really helped with home's efficiency, but now I have a hard time imagining how they can install the anchoring through that.

    Thanks,

Solar Retro Fit on DECRA tile

    Stone Coat Tile Roof Hook.jpg

The Solar Brackets are available from www.quickscrews.com Part number scsrh-180. There are a few different types of brackets, so make sure you know what configuration you will be using to determine the bracket to use. They screw into the Rafters under the panels with 4" lag bolts. The Photos below show DECRA Shake - However DECRA Tile works exactly the same. The parts have been fully tested and are approved for your area.

back to a square one - I think

Just using this old(er) thread because I am still dealing with same issues.

The installer that I picked from 4 different estimates, says they will not be installing the panels without completely redoing the roof portion under the panels. They want to strip down my decra shake (sorry I said tile previously, it is in fact the shake), remove whatever insulation and waterproofing I have on top of skipsheeting and install new OSB or plywood decking and new asphalt shingle roof, install the panels and trim them around with decra to match existing portion of the roof. The extra cost associated with this is between $4.5k and $6.5k, depending on the roofer. This puts me very close to the ground install I think. My roof (where I was planing on installing the PV) is almost perfectly oriented and the ground install would probably have some unwanted shading.

Question; If i decide to go with the roof install, would having the deck roofing on only one side of the roof and the skip sheeting on the other cause any possible problems - uneven stress points on the roof surface in case of the earthquake?
I know, nobody (almost nobody) in California is too worried about the earthquakes, I am, just can't help it....

I was actually looking forward for roof tear down, at least somewhat, because it would give me the opportunity to fix whatever is in the inaccessible portion of the attic with vaulted ceiling below.
Now I am not sure if I should go with ground install or the roof install, again
