I just happened to find this.. its not released yet, but looks like they are going to make an islanding or Automatic Transfer switch that goes in as the meter base.

I am interested in that because of the Tesla Gateway 200 amp issue with their service disconnect.

I did not reread the other thread to figure out if the issue was related to a NEC bus bar backfeed issue? If that is the issue, then I would guess the meter connect version would satisfy the rule the same as a line side tap. However the Tesla Gateway is a transfer switch so that would be redundant as far as transfer switching is concerned.

Just a followup on this. I talked with them and it will be about this time next year that it will be available for purchase.
