Thank you Mike,
Normally under windows if an item has sub-menu, when you double click it, the sub-menu will appear, but this one doesn't. I could click it until new kingdom come it won't appear. because the laptop I use is a small two in one 11.6 inches that I couldn't see or I don't know need to click on the little button on the left to open the sub-menu.
Thank you again, really appreciated.

Guest repliedWell past the point of no return, as of now gotten it yesterday. With respect to the program firmware overhaul, I do have an or more that is associated with the power organization specifically, so I would not out of intensity for the combox and the PC. great to know, however. Much obliged to you.Leave a comment:

The system time is set IN the combox. That gets broadcast to other devices.Leave a comment:

Hi Mike,
Can the combox set the system time? I don't have the SCP. that is what the programmer use to set the time. The configuration tool can set time too. but I can't seem to find any where could change or set the system time on the inverter with the combox.
Thank you.Leave a comment:

The general rule for battery measure for 48V inverters is 100ah battery limit with respect to each 1Kw of yield control. The battery supplies the "swell" current expected to make the air conditioner sinewave. Excessively little of battery and the waveform gets twisted and inverter may close down. On the off chance that you hope to send out 5Kw to the lattice, you need 500ah of the battery to enhance the gradually expanding influences on the DC transport.
This is required over the amp hours required for power utilization.Leave a comment:

. Anyway I will make sure it will plug in the Ethernet port. Thanks again.

You can simply use a spare router, just plug the laptop and the combox into it.
BE SURE you use the ethernet port on the combox, or you will inject voltage into your router and fry it.Leave a comment:

Hi Mike,
The technician carry his friend came with the configuration tool and change the 60Hz to 50Hz. the inverter is at a room about 150 feet from my main router. I need to make a long Ethernet cable to connect the combox to the router. it take some time to get it done and install the wire. Does the internet is mandated to configure the battery voltage etc.? or I can just use a spare router to connect the combox with my laptop to do the configuration until I get the wire installed?
Thank you.Leave a comment:

The Xanbus uses regular ethernet cable. But it requires a termination plug at each end. Plug---Combox-----Xanbus_Cable------XWinverter---Plug
Converting from 60 to 50 hz will require new firmware, if it is even possible, you will have to contact Schenider to find out how. Thats a bummer
Each piece of Xanbus gear comes with a cable and a terminator. So you should have 2 cables (1 would be a spare) and 2 terminations.
The combox has an ethernet jack, that connects to the same router that your computer connects to, and then you use the Combox locater software to acquire the combox IP address which gets entered into your browser and you are connected.Leave a comment:

Hi Mike,
I have made a fool of myself,Didn't I? after I read the quick installation guide I understand how it connect the laptop to the Combox, but it didn't show how the Combox connect to the inverter. I am assume it use the Xanbus network. what kind cable it use to connect the Combox to the inverter? is the standard Ethernet cable or a special made cable. The Combox package only come with an Ethernet cable. the gentle man came to program the inverter, he use his SCP connect to the Combox and use the Ethernet cable come in the package to connect the combox to the inverter. is that how it should connect?
We have a problem that we can't finish program the inverter. the inverter come with 60 cycle by default and we use 50 cycle in Jamaica. Can the laptop connect to the combox be able to going the firmware to change the 60 cycle to 50 cycle? or I have to get some one who has a special device that connect to the laptop to change that, (that is what the gentle man told me, his friend use a black device connect to the inverter and the laptop to change the default cycle.
Thank you.Leave a comment:

I would hope gear mfg'd in 2018 would have the latest 2017 fw in it
The appendix in the manual has pages of the settings and how to configure them. Larry with a Ladder & Shade Tree mechs won't generally be able to understand them, you will need some level of electrical background and terminology to be able to knowledgeably configure the settings.Leave a comment:

Yes Mike that is the inverter, it was manufactured February 2018. do you think it has the latest firmware? how do you connect your phone or laptop to the inverter/combox? using USB cable? or wireless.
Thank you.
Because I am new to this inverter and I did not buy the remote control for it, instead I bought the combox. I don't want to try mess with it, an experienced installer will come later today to program the unit to the way how I want it to function. I hope I can learn how to program it as I will have to change the settings according to the battery bank condition and usage along the line.Leave a comment:
