Total Output of a 250W Panel

What would be the total output of a 250 watt panel.

I understand it depends on several factors.

I would be installing them in Southern New Mexico.

Is there a rule of thumb for the whole year on how many hours it will produce for?

There is the power from the module and then the usable power downstream from the inverter. On a cold December day in winter here, my 8kw array put out max power at just about 7975W. The summer may still match this but heat also cuts some production. My number is from the two inverter Panels' screens added together.

Every year, you lose about .5% power output and poly crystalline panels have a bit more initial drop.

What you should do is look into the pvwatts utility program to compute the system design's output. I think you can conservatively estimate 285 kWh per year per module the first few years. But each panel differs in quality and output during high summer temps. Some may say way more, but estimating low is better than high and then being underwhelmed.

When you say "how many hours it will produce for" it leads to more questions. One is basically "do you intend to do a system or just buy one panel and attach it to something needing DC power?"

As Sunking provided in another thread - use PV Watts. That is based on long term averages. It does not take into account micro climates or shading if any.
