Backup generator wiring on Champion Model 100165

8 years ago when I had my solar set up I used a Miller Bobcat 250 as my backup generator using the Conext AGS module on my XW 6048 Xantrex Inverter/Charger. Not only did they not really wire it right (it blows a fuse every time it shuts down) but it's been a pain because I can't fully automate the system as the Miller is gasoline and needs chocking to start in the winter.

I've had a Champion Power generator Model 100165 sitting around doing nothing for ages and since it is dual fuel I want to switch it into the system for full automation. It's plenty large enough to handle the 5Kw load at start of charge. Any clues on how to do this. Meaning what wires go where to start and stop the unit.

    Hi metalguy21,

I don't have any experience in this department, someone else might be able to chime in, if the original in installer is still around it might pay to give them a call at least they will understand what you have there. Good luck with it
