    Alarm or alert options

I was ‘sold’ the concept that the system will have 24x7 monitoring, and should it go wrong, they will know before me.

In practice there seems to be zero monitoring, last year had a panel micro converter fail …. No akarm, no message.
just noticed on my monitoring App … could have been faulty for some time.

Yesterday checked the App and zero generation for past month.
inverter had red led against ‘fault’ …
Rebooted … came back up with no fault, but still no generation.

OK, that is a fault I need resolve.

My question is can the inverter (or App) be configured to send an alarm message to me (SMS or email. etc) in the event of a fault.
    otherwise as happened,

    Hi Sargan

Firstly I am no SolarEdge expert, that is for sure, so maybe a SolarEdge person can chime in here, BUT I suspect the answer is no, when a sales guy tells you the system can be monitored they mean monitored by you and if you see some thing wrong call your installer, hope that helps some, cheers

To be fair, the Sales Company specifically stated there would be 24x7 Monitoring, not SolarEdge.
They went bust shortly after I bought system.
Also find that the registrations had not been done fully, so I do not get the extended warranty on panels.
