Solar Edge experts! Need some input about Optimizers.

asdfasdf.jpg7 years ago, I designed and installed a Solar Edge system for my business,
    I used a SE20K-US 480/277 inverter, two strings of 16 P700 2:1 optimizers, 64 total AstroEnergy 310w 72 cell panels.
After getting the PTO, I added 12 more panels, Silfab 350w 72 cell, to fatten up the curve, I aimed them to the southwest.

Now I want to add more southwest panels to broaden the curve late in the day.

So I found a SE33.3K-US 480/277 and P730's for a bargain price. The SE33.3K-US is working great, the P730's are New In Box.

As it sits, I am running:

    24kW 3-ph 480v
    Inverter SE33.3K-US -
    19 P700 optimizers controlling 38 modules of 72 cells
    19 P700 optimizers controlling 38 modules of 72 cells

Today I tried to add 1 540w 144/72 panel using 1 P730 to one of my strings. While I could see 21 volts on the strings (mine reads 20 volts per string with 19 optimizers), and it allowed me to publish the changes, it would not report any energy being created.

Am I going to be running up against a dead end if I want to add modern 540w panels to my system?
Why does Solar Edge say: 'You must run the strings 2:1, or 1:1, or you can add just ONE 1:1 optimizer if the rest of the string is 2:1's.

Not a SolarEdge expert, but maybe this particular spec is your problem. You are mixing P700 with P730.

There is a lot of things that are undocumented with Solar Edge. One is that the P700/701/730/P730new/ are all obsolete, and all interchangeable.

I'm crossing my fingers and doing a "parking lot test". I added two 540w 144/72 panels using two 1:1 P730's onto my String 1.1.x. It did accept them, and and it is producing, but it's really overcast, so the data isn't much good yet.

My failure last night was either not allowing enough time to for the new map to be posted on the server, or ... (I forgot to ground frames, shhh!)

The first one I got going is 1.1.5, and it is certainly producing. 1.1.6 was installed later. Both are 540w 144's, running 1:1 on an otherwise 2:1 string.
