UL listing and/or other certifications

For a grid tied solar system, I have read that all components need to be UL listed. What I don’t quite understand is the term UL listed. Has that term become a catchall for all US certification laboratories(NRTLs)

“NEC Section 690.4(B) establishes that PV modules must be listed and several NRTLs are designated by OSHA to list those products. They each have marks (symbols) that will appear on the back of the PV module and include UL (Underwriters Laboratories), ETL (Intertek Testing Services NA, Inc. Is UL listed = ETL/ CSA/ITSNA/TUV?

You may have some misunderstandings about these certified third-party institutions. At present, there will be specific requirements for what standards to meet solar production. Of course, the more standards reached, the better the quality of the product. UL is a relatively high standard. UL certification can be a certification of the cell or the certification of the entire solar system. For example UL2056, UL1642, UL2743, UL 2271....FCC Part 15B, PSE(cycle) and IEC 62133-2, IEC 60950-1, IEC 62368-2, and basically UN 38.3 for allLithium Ion Batteries.
