Anyone have experience with Sunny Explorer?

I have 2 SMA inverters and am (trying) to use Sunny Explorer to view them. After much frustration, I finally got Sunny Explorer (SE) to work and see my inverters.

It seems like its working fine, but its not. The data it displays is up to several HOURS old. For instance, when clicking on the bar graph showing daily production for each day of the month, it shows I only produced 54.027kw of energy today.. and yet, when logging into the inverters directly, one says 32.6kw and the other 31.8kw.. Now I'm no mathematical genius, but I'm pretty sure 32.6 and 31.8 adds up to more than 54kw.

Is there a way to force a refresh? I thought Sunny Explorer was supposed to be "real time" information..

I have an SMA inverter, but like you found the Sunny Explorer to be worthless for monitoring. It is slow to connect, slow to populate date once connected, and slow to update.

I've setup my own monitoring system using PVOutput. I have a Raspberry Pi computer with SBFspot installed to collect generation data from the inverter and upload to PVOutput. I also have a Rainforest Eagle to connect to the smart meter to collect consumption data. The Eagle data is uploaded to PVOutput through Wattvision.

If this sounds complicated, it absolutely is and shame on SMA for not providing better monitoring tools.

They need to rename it.. "Slow Explorer"

I understand its free, but what hell? All SMA software and user interfaces seem to suck.
