The rail-less systems sound better at first because they are typically cheaper (I looked at them too), but one thing to keep in mind is that they will require a whole lot more roof penetrations than a well-designed rail system would. My design with XR100 and XR1000 only needed 34 roof connections for 26 panels. The same thing in a rail-less would need like 70. More penetrations = more potential for leaks.
