A follow up to a previous question I asked, I have twenty 280 solar panels I am plan on using for a off grid system, Single family home. I located a charger inverter, Aims model # picoglf12kw48v240vs, I plan on using a 6 volt battery 48 volt package. My question, Is this a charger/inverter unit in one? meaning that I can use this in place of a charge controller and a inverter ? Seems to easy to use and I am probably missing something. I received excellent advice on using the same brand Charger and inverter, Thanks again in advance for the valuable advice, Being totally new to solar I like the learning experience and hope to share my final system with the group.

Without digging into the inverter link I would say No. Inverter chargers will take generator AC power to charge the batteries. Some will take mains power as well as generator to charge the batteries.2.2kw Suntech mono, Classic 200, NEW Trace SW4024 -

My understanding is , that you are looking for a hybrid solar inverter .
