Can someone recommend a reasonably priced meter to measure daily usage in my solar system, preferably in amp hours. I would also like to be able to mount the display in a remote location.

My solar charging system is 12vdc. Everything I use power for, including my inverter, runs on 12 volts.Comment

I use something similar to the Watts Up meter but you need to make sure the meter you use is rated for the amps it can see.Comment

Search 130A or GT POWER for a typical power meter. No need to spend any more than $10 for one, they are all the same. Although they say 130A, that is only for a short term impulse. The wires will unsolder from the internal shunt. Over 25A buy a 100A 50mv shunt. and connect the black wires to that. Add a couple inches of wire and that will give you a X10on current and watts. Don't use more than one red wire, that is just a pass thru.Comment
