    Advice Needed, First post!

I live in NJ and have been lurking for a while I was going to do solar a year ago when they had rebates but they went away and the project got put on hold. Now I have my own green company and am interested in getting started in the business or partnering. But the first step is to do my house. So I need some advice on a system.

My issue is I don't have allot of roof space but if I do it right I have enough that with 230w panels I should be able to meet my energy needs and have a bit of room left over for expansion of another 8 panels. Of course I am basing this on the sunpower 230 panels and their size.

Anyhow I want to put up an 8-9kw system up.

Where is the best place to buy it?
The size you are planning, best make sure your electrical service & main panel, can handle it, you may not be able to go as large as you want, depending....

Why enphase, if you don't have shade issues ?

Each expansion = new permits & agreements.

Buy locally, if there are any vendors.

There is a certain geek factor to the monitoring and being able to watch each module every 5 minutes every day.

The Sunpower might be a problem as they only sell to dealers if I remember. I don't have access to them and am not particularly interested in getting them. It is rare that the added expense works out in favor of the customer. Enphase also might be a problem with the Sun powers as they prefer to use their brand name inverter and permission from the factory must be gotten.
There are lots of black framed modules on the market.
Canadian solar, conergy, BP. Solar world etc. All will be a larger module than the sunpowers. Canadian solar has a pretty cool mounting system called the zep mounting that reduces installation time on string inverters but is a nightmare on micro's as the bonding requirement for each cannot be satisfied with a Weeb.
