    Qcell 320w panel at $0.39/watt

Just came across below email from Renvu today, thought of sharing here in case someone may find it useful (I'm not connected to them)
    ------------from email --------------
Hanwha Q-CELLS asked us to move 9MW of their modules in the next two weeks.
If you have a project that can use at least 5,000 modules, we will be able to give them for $0.39/w
If you can't hit the 5,000 minimum but can take a significant quantity, we can try to piggy back your order on other customers orders and if we hit together the minimum, we will give you that price. So don't hesitate to give us a call.
This is a new low record for a Tier 1 product and we are happy to be the first company to break the 40 cent price ceiling.

Sorry for the ignorance but are these black or silver framed? Model number and or link?. Prefer black for my HOA and would take at least 40 panels. (Utah)

      Thx,

I believe that these are 72 cell poly panels which are the 78" long size which I and a lot of other installers don't like (maybe why the discount). I do like Q-cells though - just can't spring for 5,000 of them....
BSEE, R11, NABCEP, Chevy BoltEV, >3000kW installed

THAT...is a good point of which I had not realized. I was basing it off of 60" long. Thank you.

The 60 cell are pretty much manageable by one person; the 72 cell are quite difficult for many of us. I have both in service here.

Thank you...that totally makes sense. As noted I'm guessing that there is a substantial weight difference between the two & therefore adding to the unwieldiness to install...especially by 49 yoa guy & his teen son. (I'm guessing this is also playing into the pricing...dang.)

I recently installed by myself, 60" 270W panels on 4 flat roofed RV's; that was large & heavy enough for me...even being done in nearly perfect circumstances. (Flat roof, unencumbered, no wind) I would prefer to avoid another potentially 20-25% heavier and longer on my pitched roof. I will keep shopping to get the better panel for the application with the right efficiency, wattage & size etc.

Thx again...I appreciate your all's kind words and thoughtful input.
