Looking for a 12-24 volt 24 inch linear actuator

Looking for a 12-24 volt 24 inch linear actuator. Replacing an actuator on a tracking solar system that was working.

Doesn't need a lot of force and would prefer something that doesn't pull a lot of current. 50 pounds would be plenty.

What I do need though is that it mount with a band around the front rather than at the bottom so that when retracted it goes down to just a few inches separation. Something that would move from 3 inches separation to more that 20 inches.

I'm having a hard time finding what I want. I live in the USA and it seems like all the good stuff in in AU.

Check out Surplus Center in NE, I have gotten lots of neat stuff from them. Or maybe one from an older

I have almost the same need for linear actuators and currently, I'm more inclined to order few items from Progressive Automations's actuator range.

not all surplus is functional.

If you buy surplus or used equipment, you might find some defects. And the selection is limited
to what is currently on hand. But there is the opportunity save a FORTUNE, or get equipment far
more durable than you thought you could afford. After decades of dealing with SC, I am quite
satisfied, your results may vary. Bruce Roe
