    Conduit labeling

I am wrapping up the electrical portion on my system (j-boxes, wiring, conduit). I am looking for labeling direction. I heard that the conduit needs to be labeled every 10 feet. I have conduit in the attic then out to the exterior. If this number is correct, is the labeling the same for interior and exterior. Also, what type of label might need to be on the J-box? I live in So Cal and have Edison as a provider.

    Thanks,
    Stan

I don't know your legal requirements, only at termination points here. But that isn't
enough to keep my stuff straight. I on line made custom "bumper stickers" for only
a few $, cut them up to make tough, cheap labels for wires & components. Bruce Roe

I had been planning to label all my j-boxes and any conduit not within 10' of them with Hellermann-Tyton 596-00206 labels which says "Photovoltaic power source"
I'm using this as a reference:

But I was just looking at another person's install. Theirs was installed just 8 months ago.
And the labels on their conduit say "Caution: Solar Circuit"

Section 690.31(E) of the 2011 NEC requires labels, specifically "Photovoltaic power source" every 10 feet or less and on each smaller section separated by a wall or other partition, but only for that part of the wiring that is inside the building. Outside, the labeling is optional.
