    240V and 208V Grid Ties

Ive got a 208LV Fronius Grid Tie Inverter. Can it be hooked up as the 240V Inverters are on 240V, being its LV 208V? Will I have problems with the 240V trying to overpower or backup into the Fronius 2500LV? I havent hooked anything up yet, but I thought of the two differences in Voltage and said wait a minute.. Thanks for all Info.

Not going to work. 208 is a 3-phase voltage, and 240 is 1-phase voltage. The only way a grid tied inverter can work is for the inverter voltage to be slightly higher than the grid.

Ditto. And the inverter has to be happy with monitoring the grid for 5 minutes before it tries to sell. if you had low grid voltage, and was within the range of the high end of the 208V spec, it might work, but if it's expecting a data stream from the other 2 phases, it will never fire up.

Ok.. I talked to Fronius and have found out that I can use my 2500LV. I had to use a transformer to get the 2 different types of voltages to accept each other and work. Between Fronius and Square D, I believe we got it worked out... Thanks all.
