Everything a person thinks of is already made, hehe. Thanks for the link White Wolf. Except that this is not electric - it is a solar stove which you said wouldn't work.
@ Albert, I am from Serbia. The land of Nikola Tesla. I learned my English while watching the Simpsons as a kid. D'oh (-:
@ russ, indeed. Keep away with loony loser-ish stuff.Leave a comment:

At least it looks like a thermos when closed. Has the same vacumm tube as a thermos just clear for light energy to shine through.
Developed by British engineer James Bentham, the Solar Kettle can boil water simply by using sunlight. The portable thermos-like product uses a special thermal technology to boil water without the need for any power input, thus making it ideal for camping, picnics and outdoor activities.
My ranch is in central Montana. Cloudy days we use either wood or propane if we don't want to start a fire.

Hey Mr. Marble
I'm thinking about the thermos thing, the fact that it is so well insulated might make it hard to heat up.
Might have to still heat the water seperately, but could make the black container smaller to hold just enough water.
How much water do you need?
Also, your English is so good, in what tiny European country do you live? If you don't mind my asking that is.

Indeed, that is very interesting.
I wonder if there is a 1quart pressure cooker? That is, a pressure cooker that can double act as a thermos. Colored black and all. Can be used on low-tech solar cookers, gas-stoves (and of course regular ways of making food.)
C'mon, who wants to start a Kickstarter campaign? Making cheap nutritious food, using minimal amounts of energy, etc?
Let's make a 1quart pressure cooker/thermos! I need somebody from the States to lead the project and do the talking ^_^ (I'm being serious here). This can have a great impact on the Green/Vegeterian/Vegan communities.Leave a comment:

I use an SOS oven when staying at the ranch. We've taken a 1 gallon pressure cooker and painted the outside black. Add water 2 quarts water, set it for 5 psi and place in oven. Takes 30 to 45 minutes for it to start blowing steam showing the water is to boiling temp.

It's not slimy in a "bad way"... Just, thicker than regular water, thicker than animal milk... (-:Leave a comment:
