Not sure what this means??

HI all new here and am looking to buy 4 used panels off CL. One of the things he says is "Each panel has a built in regulator" and Im not sure what that means?

Any help would be great.

Not sure I have emailed him and he said he doesn't think there is any printing on them but he will look when he gets home this week

For a used panel with no name and no guarantee it doesn't look like an attractive price.

Look at our sponsor's site and other sites - you can get new for not much more.

OK he sent me the Company name at least. Solarex I did some googleing and found two models that do the 60w he says these 4 do SX60U AND SX60D.

Ok there is it. Any good I have been reading some reviews and at the time there sounded high end. Just not so sure now.

So any thoughts on it now?

If you use the link back to the Solarex home page then go to the MSX series you will find a 60 watt panel called the MSX-60.

But as Russ points out these are used "battery" panels that look like they were pole mounted. They could work just fine or fail in a couple of weeks.

For my money I would purchase new panels.

Ok new is better got it. Unfortunately like everyone else I am on a very very tight budget. Living on SSI can be a strugle at best. We are trying to setvup a small homestead. So back to my org ? What is a regulator is the the part that stops it from over charging or the part that converts to as power?
