Contact Unirac directly. They can suggest options. They have engineers that will suggest what will work in your area. I emailed them through their online form and they contacted me back with suggestions. If you applied for nem 2.0 on time then you have a couple years to get it installed so the current bottleneck should not be an issue in that time frame.

With advance apologies to any DIYers to whom this may not apply, and probably a bit off topic, but another red flag to me that you mentioned is that of adhesive attachment being easier for DIY which, to my experience can easily, but not necessarily mean expedient, cheap and usually skunked in work without a knowledgeable set of eyes looking at that work and so of questionable safety.

I’m just saying using roofing glue is easier than drilling through the roof and then having to make sure it is watertight. Saying that a roof adhesive solution is questionable is a bit chicken little thinking.
