  • optimal roof mounting for cooling as well as snow shedding?

I live in an area where the temperatures in the summer get over 30C, and the winter often has snowstorms with over 25cm of snow with temperatures below 10C for days.
I read the following thread about snow shedding, but I'm concerned with mounting on pitched roofs, typically between 4:12 and 8:12.

Since most racking systems have options for feet in the 6-12cm range, my thought was to choose the shortest feet to reduce backside cooling in winter, so as to improve snow shedding. However the reduced cooling means reduced production in the summer. I found a study done in India with what appears to be a low-pitch metal roof that shows a 2.57% performance increase on panels mounted 10cm vs 4cm.

I've found studies done on how roof pitch impacts snow shedding, but I haven't found any that compared mounting height with snow shedding. Has anyone seen any such studies?
