    Work Trailer Panel wiring help.

Good afternoon all, I am new to solar and need a system that can produce just over 2kw for short amounts of time, 15 to 20 min roughly 3 times a day for a total of 60min max per day. I was given this schematic on how to wire the 4x120w solar panels and the included system specs for battery charge controller, battery and Inverter. After reading your posts i did the calcs on the schematic where it was recommended that i combine series and parallel for my charge controller connection and it does not seem right. I have very little experience here and would appreciate any help so i can do this the correct way and not cause any damage.

In my opinion, you need at least a 24V or maybe a 48V battery, to be able to supply 2Kw for 20 min from batteries.

At 12V, that is a 170A load, which is not feasible or safe
24V is only 85A and 48V is only 45A, well within the range of safe wiring.

so are the schematics for wiring the panels correct and the combined connection measurements correct? To address the battery, would you recommend adding one more of the same battery and connecting it in Series?

You wired panels in series for high voltage, and are calling out a PWM controller, which will not work well as drawn, charging would only be 12A with a PWM controller

What is your actual load ? Motors (saws)? welders ? Window defrosters ? Your load will influence what your inverter choice could be.

        Loads 60 min @ 2000w = 2kwh usage x 80% inverter efficiency = 2400wh

Harvest ( redrawn using same panels, properly wired to a MPPT controller ) of 5 hours correctly aimed sun : 2400 watt hrs

So even under best conditions, you have not allowed for battery inefficiency of 10%. You need to plan a harvest of at least 3500wh, to be sure to fully charge the batteries or else reduce the loads
