This charge controller was working fine for past few years, and boom - it just melted.,,,,not a pretty sight.
I checked the connections and all seemed ok.
What could have caused this? I wire together two panels and then merge into a single + and - wire.
There was much rain, but this is usually not an issue - or maybe a rat went thro the wires somewhere?
I have had a "low wattage on-demand water pump" playing up and switching on and off alot - but this is the other side of the battery and invertor and surely can't affect the charge controller which is purely input?
I don't want this happening to my new charge controller.
thx
