Hi all, new to the forum here and I did some searching but didn't find much on the Andalay kits. They look pretty slick and not too difficult of an install. I like the micro-inverter design as we have some shading at certain times of the year on part of the roof. There are plenty of videos showing how to do everything on the roof. Where I need help is the actual connection to the panel. I was thinking I would get everything set-up on the roof and then hire an electrician to connect to the panel. Anyone gone this route?
Also, this may be a long shot, but anyone with experience handling the permitting process in Seattle and working with Seattle City Light... I'd love some insight. Or if you are just local and have solar, I'd also love to chat with someone on this front, maybe take a look at your set-up.
I got quotes from a couple of local installers and they were about $25k for 5.6kw. They also all seem to have different information from where is the best placement to number of panels and type of inverters. Tough to compare them.
Thanks!
