PVM1010 module install

I bought a PVM1010 monitoring module for my PVP2800-XV.
Got software to update it. Has anyone ever installed one?
I Ended up having to buy 3 and can't get any to connect to the mypvppower.com site. I can see it on my network.
I can ping it. Odd this is they won't take the serial number I try to program in.
I can connect to it using the setup software but the device just doesn't go out to the internet. Running a packet sniffer and never see it trying to contact the internet.
Any one done one of these.
I'd appreciate any help.

I am several years late in seeing your query.
I successfully updated firmware on a replacement PVM1010 in my PVP4800, using an XP virtual machine running in my Mac.
Now AEI has suddenly ceased support of their web-hosting of data, and I need software to do so locally.
