This is my dilemma, I have mounted 2 SolarEdge inverters in a customers house. Both of these inverters have been updated with rapid shut down kit. I was unaware that the only way the DC voltage gets below 30v in 10 seconds is by hitting the DC Disco on inverter. It DOES NOT work when the a.c power is turned off like I had thought. Therefore when the a.c power is shutdown it takes upwards up to a minute to get under 30v. Customer did not want inverters outside and first time in new county that has adopted this code and inforcing it. Please if anyone has a solution of have has run into this problem I would love to hear your advice. Thanks!

Any chance the inverters are less than 5' inside the building? If so, you may still comply. If not, or if the AHJ wants the switch to be outside, you'll have to go back and use something like a Midnite disconnecting box with Birdhouse. They have their Shut off Boxes if you don't need to combine and can just pass thru, or their disconnecting combiner boxes if you do need to combine. Sorry, it does add a bit of expense to the system.Solar Queen

Good call Butch, I forgot about that. That should cost less than a Midnite solution. Don't forget the button isn't included.Solar Queen
