Series or Parallel PV's for Grid Tie

I am a newbie with 2 100 watt panels and a 350 micro grid tie inverter and curious which would be optimal inasmuch as wiring my panels as they connect into the grid tie.

Would it matter? Which would result to more wattage feeding back to the power grid?

Sounds like you have a Plug-In Grid Tied Inverter. If so you will not get much help around here as they are illegal to use in the USA not to mention very foolish.

If you mean a micro-inverter that bolts to the panel they are made to be used for a grid tied panel. Sounds like you have 12 volt battery panels which are lower voltage then grid tied panels not to mention a lot more expensive. That being said you would likely use the panels wired in series to get the voltage high enough to operate the micro-inverter. The question is if these are in fact low voltage 12 volt battery panels; Will two wired in series be a high enough voltage to even turn on the inverter minimum input voltage requirement. Likely it will, but you are paying a premium price using battery panels. and under utilizing the inverter's potential pay back power.
