Boots on the Roof

I am in the process of forming solar installation company with an initial focus on the residential sector. I have experience with site analysis and system design from my own personal projects and I have taken some classes at the Solar Living institute in Hopland, CA. I still want to expand my technical experience especially with grid-tie projects.

Heard a lot about boots on the roof. IREC recognized/certified and seems to be very legit. Just wanted some feedback and opinions on the program before I drop $3,500 for a 6 day boot camp. I am located in South Carolina and they offer classes in New Jersey and in California. New Jersey would be my better option.

Does anyone know of any other training specifically on the East Coast?

Great info. Still trying to figure out why Boots on the Roof is so much more expensive. I know each student has a personal computer at their desk so maybe it is simply the extra commodities they offer. If that's the case, I am willing to stick with the ole' pen and pad and do it the old fashioned way. Thanks again fellas
