Hello,
I'm from Texas. I've had a semi-homemade solar water heater for nearly ten years. It started off poorly and didn't work at all, but I've learned many valuable lessons throughout the process.

I started into solar with a couple of solar kits from a local wholesale club. Taught me enough to know I didn't know anything, but it sparked enough motivation that I invested in a full solar rig for our home that include 13.2kW of panels and 18kW of battery backup. Learned a lot about self maintenance of our system components and how the invert functions. This forum has been an incredible wealth of knowledge to me; learned a lot about what to expect along the way. I hope you find it as beneficial.
