    Just an update
Received my "permission to operate" today from the power company so almost done.
Now I need to apply for the Illinois residential energy credits, which is the only reason at 65 years old I did this project. Didn't see a value in it without the "refund" from the state.

Overall the front end paperwork was the worst part of the project, rest was easy.

Most pics need to have their size ( resolution ) knocked down quite a bit, before posting to a message board. My phone takes pics that
are 4Mb, but knocked down to 500Kb, they are fine for messages

I paid my money and got permission to build 15KW in 2013 in IL.
BUT they did not come over and install the 2 way electric meter,
WHY IS THAT? I dodged the paperwork by hiring an installer,
how much damage could he do 500 feet behind my house?
But after the system was inspected and approved, the essential
meter was not installed for another 6 weeks. I hounded the local
support and discovered it had not even been ordered. My estimate
of this prime season loss approached $1000. But I got even later.

Please let us know the delay for your IL PV system operation. It
seems to me, as soon as you pay and get a permit, a Net meter
needs to go in. Bruce Roe

Smart meters were installed last year throughout the neighborhood so that is already done. I'm curious if I'll still get rebates from ComEd for reducing my power usage during certain times when they send a text message like last year. I think it was 4 times got credits of $35 but hey better than a poke in the eye.
I was surprised last month when I pulled the meter to upgrade the panel Edison texted me about an hour after I started and wanted to know if I needed a lineman because my power was off.
