Hi everybody,

My name is Christophe i'm 41 years old and live in Wetteren a small city in Belgium.
I'm interested in solar panels since i was a teenager. Now many years later the dream came true

I have 22 solar panels, total 4774 Wp.
They produce more than 4000 kWh / year.
I use a sunny beam to monitor my system and upload every day my yield on my homepage.

How are those panels configured? 2 x 11, or 22 in series.

I would not go bragging about your yearly output as it is rather poor for a 4.4 Kw system. Not really anything you can do about it as it is a function of your poor location with very little sun with a daily average of less than 4 Sun Hours.

In 2007 I placed 14 panels for a total of 3000 Wp. These are connected to an inverter from SMA SB2500.
1 year later I placed another 8 panels, 1760 Wp on a SMA SB1700.

So i have 2 separate installations.

Here in Belgium there is a special support from the government, for every Watt you have made you received 0.45 euro. This to promote green energy.

Now i work for a cable TV company, but I work for a period of 10 years in the chocolat industry before. The plant was a part of "barry callebaut" verry famous group with plants alover the world.

It is pretty cool. In China, private use of solar panels are very rare. Because it is quite expensive for us. Mostly, the panels are used for commercial use for schools, stations.

Hopefully, the PV panels can work in private houses in China in the future.
